Pearls, Ropes and Bedouin Life in the UAE (Indoor Air-Conditioned Field Trip)

We offer deep-content tours of Old Dubai and the vast majority of students coming on our tours are secondary and high school students. Here is some information on our signature walking tour of Old Dubai and we can make sure it fits in well with your theme of UAE Heritage. 

For your students, this is what we propose as a different option which is mostly indoors: 

Pearls, Ropes and Bedouin Life in the UAE

On this tour students will visit Al Shindagha Heritage Neighborhood’s Turath Handicraft Heritage Center featuring live workshops and interactions with Emirati artists. Students will get to experience palm weaving, telli-making, tool- making first hand, up-close (see pictures attached). These spaces are air-conditioned and stunningly designed. 

On this tour students will visit Al Shindagha Heritage Neighborhood’s Turath Handicraft Heritage Center featuring live workshops and interactions with Emirati artists. Students will get to experience

• tool- making,
• rope making
• silversmith
• incense making first hand, up-close (see pictures attached). These spaces are restored and stunningly designed. 

It is a 2.5-hour tour. Suggested time slot is 9AM to 11:30AM. 

No meals are included in the tour. The students have a short snack break in between where they can have their own snack box. Students arrive and depart by schools buses organized by the school. 

• Tour Cost : AED 50 per student. All accompanying teachers are complimentary
